Music and Message is a new and intentional venue at NCYC to provide a more intimate space in which those whose ministry combine live music performance with speaking a showcase for what they do. All “acts” are solo artists and duos who will have thirty minutes to fill with equal parts music and “message.”

The venue is Room 120-121 (Wabash West), across from Hall C, right next to the food court. Hosts Shannon Cerneka and Orin Johnson of Oddwalk Ministries will keep the momentum going Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, welcoming a new artist each half-hour. Between acts, Oddwalk, will bridge the time with music, guests, interactive games, and other engaging and fun activities.

If you are looking for new people to help animate your local ministry, come see what these Christ-center ministers can offer.

Oddwalk has lead retreats and prayer services and made countless appearances in a wide variety of venues from local parishes to international World Youth Day events. They have both self-produced and publisher-produced recordings. Many Oddwalk songs can be found in GIA Publications’ contemporary hymnal, Cross Generation. They also have a book of prayer services for junior high youth coming out with Twenty-Third Publications in Summer 2018.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outside, getting caught in the rain, singing and writing music, traveling, finding the perfect scented candle, and attempting to speak with different accents. She hopes you all enjoy NCYC this weekend!

Nun and Nunner

Sr. Mary Rose + Sr. Maria Stella = Nun & Nunner! They’re best friends who got their hands on a couple of habits. So funny that you’ll forget they’re not real nuns! Spreading the joy of the Gospel with your favorite radio hits, you can't miss these two!

For twenty years she had done this with a wink and smile, then two years ago she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Although Jamie’s still smiling, she has had to learn to realign her life in leiu of new limitations. There are many people who also silently struggle with illness. Refuse to sink! #irefusetosink
